V-Ray CPU-Render Benchmark

V-Ray is a 3D rendering software from the manufacturer Chaos for designers and artists. Unlike many other render engines, V-Ray is capable of so-called hybrid rendering, in which the CPU and GPU work together at the same time.

However, the CPU benchmark we used (CPU Render Mode) only uses the system's processor. The working memory used plays a major role in the V-Ray benchmark. For our benchmarks we use the fastest RAM standard approved by the manufacturer (without overclocking).

Due to the high compatibility of V-Ray (including Autodesk 3ds Max, Maya, Cinema 4D, SketchUp, Unreal Engine and Blender), it is a frequently used software. With V-Ray, for example, photorealistic images can be rendered that laypeople cannot distinguish from normal photos.

News and articles for the Intel Core i9-13900K

With 24 CPU cores and 32 threads, the Intel Core i9-13900K is currently the largest and fastest processor for Intels LGA 1700 socket. Compared to its predecessor, the Intel Core i9-12900K, the Intel Core i9-13900K has twice the number of efficient cores (16 instead of 8 Gracemont cores). The multi-core performance has increased significantly.

The Intel Core i9-13900K features a hybrid core system that combines large and very powerful CPU cores with smaller, more efficient CPU cores. These cores are called P cores (performance). The base clock frequency of the larger CPU cores is 3.8 GHz, but the processor can increase the clock frequency to up to 5.7 GHz via a turbo mode, depending on the load and thermal conditions.

The smaller Gracemont cores (E cores) clock at 3.0 GHz and also have a turbo mode that can increase the clock frequency to up to 4.2 GHz. The Intel Core i9-13900K is overclockable, but this requires a larger CPU cooler.

The new Intel Xe graphics are used for the first time in the 13th generation of Core i processors as internal graphics. Specifically, an Intel Iris Xe graphics with 32 execution units and 256 texture shaders is installed in the Intel Core i9-13900K. The computing power of the graphics is definitely sufficient for older games, but a dedicated graphics solution is still required for newer games or high resolutions.

The processor supports fast DDR-5600 RAM in up to two memory channels. The maximum memory bandwidth is 89.6 GB/s when using two DDR5-5600 memory modules. Even higher data rates are possible by overclocking the main memory.

With the 13th generation of Intel Core i processors, Intel has given them a larger level 2 and level 3 cache. The Intel Core i9-13900K has a total of 32 MB level 2 cache and 36 MB level 3 cache.
