Benchmarks

The Intel Core i5-11400F is an eleventh generation processor based on Intels Core i5 series and ranks in the middle price segment of the i series. It was released by Intel in the first quarter of 2021 and is based on the Rocket Lake S architecture. The processor is manufactured using the 14-nanometer process and has a 3.00 megabyte level 2 and 12.00 megabyte level 3 cache. The Intel Core i5-11400F is a 64-bit processor that can be installed on all mainboards with the LGA 1200 socket.

The Intel Core i5-11400F relies on a standard core architecture with 6 processor cores and supports hyperthreading technology, which means that 12 computing threads are available if required. The basic clock frequency of the processor cores is 2.60 gigahertz and the maximum turbo clock is 4.40 gigahertz (single core load) or 4.20 gigahertz (load of all cores). The Intel Core i5-11400F cannot be overclocked, this is reserved for the models with a "K" at the end of the processor designation.

As you can already see from the F at the end of the processor designation, the Intel Core i5-11400F does not have an internal graphics unit. It can therefore only be operated with a dedicated graphics card (e.g. an NVIDIA Geforce or AMD Radeon). A total of 20 PCI Express lines in version 4.0 are available to the Intel Core i5-11400F for this purpose. Of course, not only a graphics card can be connected, but also, for example, a fast M.2 data carrier or any other PCIe expansion card.

Together with the Intel Core i5-11400F, up to 128 gigabytes of DDR4-3200 RAM can be operated. The main memory is addressed via the 2 existing memory channels with a bandwidth of up to 51.2 GB/s. The processor does not support main memory with automatic error correction, as is often used in NAS systems.
