The Intel Core i7-8086K is a very special processor. It once appeared as an anniversary model, a tribute to the legendary 8086. This CPU is based on the proven Coffee Lake S architecture. It was manufactured using the then-leading 14 nm process. One of its greatest strengths was the factory high clock rates.

This made it an excellent choice at the time. The fast single-core performance was particularly advantageous for gamers. Many of us appreciated the direct and responsive way of working. Another highlight was the free overclocking potential. Enthusiasts could further increase the processor's performance.

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 reliably handles basic graphics output. With 12 MB Level 3 Cache, it offers a solid memory hierarchy. The maximum memory bandwidth is 43 GB/s. It uses PCIe 3.0 for connecting graphics cards. This processor is still very usable for many everyday applications today.

It often still delivers surprisingly good performance even for older games.
