The Intel Core i3-12100F is a desktop/server processor released by Intel in the first quarter of 2022. The processor comes from the twelfth generation of Intels i3 family.

The processor has four CPU cores with eight threads. The cores are built with 4x Golden Cove and uses the Hyperthreading technology developed by Intel, the processor cannot be overclocked. The clock frequency of the processor is 3.30 gigahertz, the turbo clock frequency (1 core) is 4.30 gigahertz and the turbo clock frequency (4 cores) is 4.00 GHz. The processor supports DDR4-3200 and DDR5-4800 memory types. It has 2 memory channels and a maximum of 128 GB of RAM can be used. The bandwidth is 76.8 GB/s. PCIe is integrated in the 5.0 generation with 20 PCI Express lanes.

The minimum thermal design power (TDP) of the Intel Core i3-12100F is 58 watts and the maximum TDP is 89 watts. The maximum allowed heat for the processor is 100 °C.

The chip design is monolithic. The processor is based on the LGA 1700 socket. The architecture is based on Alder Lake S and the processor is compatible with Windows 10 and 11, as well as Linux operating systems. The release price for the processor was $97 in the first quarter of 2022.

In the Cinebench R23 (single-core) test, the Intel Core i3-12100F has a score of 1,658 and is therefore only slightly below the AMD Ryzen 9 PRO 6950HS. In the Cinebench R23 (multi-core) test, the processor scored 8,443 points and is therefore only just below the Intel Core i7-9700F with 8,540 points. It scored 642 points in the Cinebench R20 (single-core) test and 3,204 points in the Cinebench R20 (multi-core) test. It scored 242 points in the Cinebench R15 (single-core) test and 1,204 points in the R15 (multi-core). It scored 1,716 points in Geekbench 5, 64bit (single-core) and 6,428 points in Geekbench 5, 64bit (multi-core).
