Description of the processor

The Intel Core i7-1360P is a 12-core mobile processor with a modern, hybrid structure. In this structure, called big.LITTLE, large and powerful P-cores are combined with smaller but more efficient E-cores. Energy consumption benefits from this, especially in partial load scenarios.

The four P cores are based on Intels Raptor Cove architecture (13th gen) and clock at 2.2 GHz in the base. Clock frequencies of up to 5.0 GHz are possible in turbo mode. The P cores in the Intel Core i7-1360P are combined with 8 CPU cores from the Gracemont architecture, which by and large originates from Intels Atom series. The clock frequency of the E cores is 1.6 GHz. Here, too, the clock frequency can be increased in turbo mode. However, the E cores stop at 3.7 GHz.

When the processor is fully loaded, the P-cores and the E-cores can also calculate together on one task, which leads to a very high performance in the overall package. Windows 10 and especially Windows 11 has a modern task scheduler that can also optimally utilize processors with a hybrid core structure.

The Intel Core i7-1360P has an integrated Iris XE Graphics graphics unit in the maximum configuration with 96 execution units and 768 texture shaders. The iGPU has a computing power of 2.2 TFLOPS (FP32). This puts it on par with Apples M1 processor and its iGPU. The performance is sufficient to play older games smoothly, even in higher resolutions.

Modern video codecs are decoded in hardware by the Intel Core i7-1360P, so the CPU load is very low when playing videos from YouTube or Netflix, for example. This has a positive effect on the battery life.

A total of 64 GB of DDR5-5200 or LPDDR5-6400 RAM is supported by the Intel Core i7-1360P. The maximum memory bandwidth is a good 89.6 GB/s.
