Description of the processor

The Intel Core i5-9600K comes from the 9th generation of Intels Core i5 series, is based on the "Coffee Lake Refresh" architecture and is manufactured using the 14 nanometer process.

The Intel Core i5-9600K is a processor with 6 cores that does not have hyperthreading, but can be overclocked thanks to the free multiplier. This makes the processor interesting for people who want to get the last bit of performance out of their processor. It should only be noted here that sufficient cooling is important. The minimum is a CPU cooler with an increased cooling capacity, for example a Noctua cooler like the Noctua NH-D15 would be suitable for the Intel Core i5-9600K. If you want sufficient cooling, but dont want to generate any noise, you cannot avoid water cooling.

The 6 cores of the Intel Core i5-9600K clock with up to 3.70 gigahertz as standard and can increase to 4.60 gigahertz (single core utilization) or 4.30 gigahertz (multi-core utilization) in turbo mode.

The internal graphics unit "Intel UHD Graphics 630" with its 24 execution units is sufficiently dimensioned to supply up to 3 monitors with a picture at the same time in office operation. But honestly, if you opt for an overclockable processor, you will surely also rely on a dedicated graphics card. This can do everything that the internal graphics unit can do, but it is much more powerful. How much then of course depends on the model chosen.

In terms of memory, the Intel Core i5-9600K officially supports DDR4 memory modules with up to 2666 megahertz. In practice, however, modules with a higher clock frequency can also be used. Here you have to see what the mainboard that you have chosen supports.
