The AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X was once considered a true giant for demanding tasks. It was based on the Zen architecture, codenamed Whitehaven. This chip was manufactured in 14 nm at the time and brought amazing multicore performance. With its sixteen cores and thirty-two threads, the processor was ideal for creative work.

It also mastered other intensive workloads with flying colors. We were surprised at the time how well it mastered complex calculations. This AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X has a generous 8 MB L2 cache and 32 MB L3 cache. This contributes significantly to fast data processing. In Cinebench 2024, it scores 60 points in the single-core test.

In the multi-core test, it achieves a remarkable 964 points. Its maximum memory bandwidth reaches 85 GB/s. The AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X also supports PCIe 3.0 for various expansion cards. Even today, it can still be a good option for certain professional applications. Anyone looking for multithreading performance at a fair price should consider this.
