Description of the processor

The Intel Core i3-10110U is a processor from the mobile segment of Intels Core i3 processors. The processor was launched in the third quarter of 2019. The Intel Core i3-10110U is based on Intels Comet Lake architecture and is manufactured using the 14 nanometer process.

The Intel Core i3-10110U has 2 physical cores and supports Intels hyperthreading technology. With this technology, the 2 physical cores become 4 logical cores. With the 4 logical cores, more arithmetic operations can then be carried out at once.

The 2 cores have a basic clock rate of 2.10 gigahertz and increase in turbo mode to 4.10 gigahertz (single core utilization) or 3.20 gigahertz (multi-core utilization).

The processor has an internal graphics unit that has a base clock frequency of 300 megahertz and a maximum dynamic clock frequency of 1.00 gigahertz. The GPU with the name "Intel UHD Graphics" supports up to 32GB video memory and is based on 24 execution units. Microsofts DirectX 12 is supported as well as OpenGL 4.5 and up to 3 monitors can be operated in parallel. The maximum resolution via an HDMI connection is 4096x2304 @ 24Hz and via a DisplayPort it is 4096x2304 @ 60Hz.

The Intel Core i3-10110U can decode and encode almost all important video codecs (h264, h265, AVC etc.) in hardware. Decoding is only possible with the VP9 and VC-1 codecs.

The Intel Core i3-10110U supports the operation of up to 64 gigabytes of RAM of the DDR4 type with up to 2666 megahertz or the LPDDR3 type with up to 2133 megahertz. With the 2 available memory channels, a bandwidth of up to 41.66 gigabytes / second can be achieved.

The processor is preferably used in notebooks / laptops such as the Acer Aspire 3 (A315-54-33R2) or the HP laptop 17-by2235ng.
