The Intel Core i9-9980HK was a real powerhouse for mobile workstations back in its day. As part of the Coffee Lake H Refresh architecture, it proved to be particularly powerful. A notable feature is the ability to overclock, thanks to the HK suffix. This gave enthusiasts the freedom to push the limits of the CPU.

With its 16 MB L3 cache, it processed data effectively and quickly. Manufacturing was done using the proven 14 nm process. Although it appeared in 2019, it still offers solid computing power for everyday tasks. We see that this processor still handles many applications smoothly today. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 handles the basic graphics display.

In Cinebench 2024, the Intel Core i9-9980HK achieves 71 points in single-core. In multi-core applications, it achieves a respectable 424 points. The maximum memory bandwidth is 34 GB/s. This underscores its leading position in the mobile sector at the time. It was a choice for users who didn't want to compromise.
