The AMD Ryzen 7 7730U is manufactured with a structure width of 7 nanometers and the monolithic chip design is based on the Barcelo architecture. The mobile processor is only permanently installed and requires the FP6 socket.

The processor was released in the fourth quarter of 2022 and has a 4.00 megabyte level 2 cache. The level 3 cache of the AMD Ryzen 7 7730U is 16.00 megabytes and supports the virtualization technologies AMD-V and SVM.

The AMD Ryzen 7 7730U has 8 processor cores and supports Hyperthreading technology, which means that up to 16 computing threads are available if required. AMD specifies the base clock frequency of the 8 processor cores as 2.00 gigahertz. The maximum turbo clock is 4.50 gigahertz when a single core is loaded. If all 8 processor cores are used at the same time, the maximum turbo clock is only 2.80 gigahertz.

The AMD Radeon 8 Graphics (Renoir) is installed as the internal graphics unit in the AMD Ryzen 7 7730U. This iGPU has 8 execution units with 512 shader units and can be operated with up to 2 gigabytes of shared memory. The AMD Radeon 8 Graphics (Renoir) was released in the first quarter of 2020, but like the processor it is also manufactured using the 7-nanometer process. The graphics unit has a clock frequency of 2.00 gigahertz and does not have a turbo mode. With this, it achieves an FP32 computing power (single precision) of 2048 GigaFLOPS.

With the AMD Ryzen 7 7730U, up to 64 gigabytes of DDR4-3200 or LPDDR4X-4266 RAM can be operated. With the 2 memory channels, the processor achieves a memory bandwidth of 51.2 gigabytes per second.
