V-Ray CPU-Render Benchmark

V-Ray is a 3D rendering software from the manufacturer Chaos for designers and artists. Unlike many other render engines, V-Ray is capable of so-called hybrid rendering, in which the CPU and GPU work together at the same time.

However, the CPU benchmark we used (CPU Render Mode) only uses the system's processor. The working memory used plays a major role in the V-Ray benchmark. For our benchmarks we use the fastest RAM standard approved by the manufacturer (without overclocking).

Due to the high compatibility of V-Ray (including Autodesk 3ds Max, Maya, Cinema 4D, SketchUp, Unreal Engine and Blender), it is a frequently used software. With V-Ray, for example, photorealistic images can be rendered that laypeople cannot distinguish from normal photos.

Monero Hashrate kH/s

The crypto currency Monero has been using the RandomX algorithm since November 2019. This PoW (proof of work) algorithm can only efficiently be calculated using a processor (CPU) or a graphics card (GPU). The CryptoNight algorithm was used for Monero until November 2019, but it could be calculated using ASICs. RandomX benefits from a high number of CPU cores, cache and a fast connection of the memory via as many memory channels as possible. Tested with XMRig v6.x under the operation system HiveOS.

To trade Monero you can register with the crypto broker Kraken.com. We've been customers there for a few years now and have been very satisfied so far.

Benchmarks


The Intel Core i7-11700F is an 8-core desktop processor from Intel. It serves the upper mid-range segment and is suitable both for gaming computers and for working in applications. With its 8 cores and support for Intel Hyperthreading Technology, the processor can process a total of 16 threads in parallel. The speed in applications that can use multiple threads at the same time is therefore very good.

The Intel Core i7-11700F is based on the 11th generation of the Intel Core i series from Intel, which is the last series to use CPU cores of the same size without a hybrid structure. The Rocket Lake processors support the AVX-512 instruction set, which is no longer supported or only partially supported on the newer 12th generation Intel Alder Lake processors. If you work a lot with applications that benefit from AVX-512, the purchase of the Intel Core i7-11700F can still be worthwhile in 2022.

The clock frequency of the Intel Core i7-11700F is 2.5 GHz, via the so-called turbo mode the processor can increase this clock frequency up to 4.9 GHz (single-core mode) when all 8 CPU cores are loaded a clock frequency of 3.8 GHz is still possible.

In contrast to most Core i processors, the Intel Core i7-11700F does not have an integrated graphics unit (iGPU). So you absolutely need a dedicated graphics card for operation. Up to 128 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM is supported, with two memory channels being available, and 1 to 4 RAM modules can be installed. If DDR4-3200 RAM is used in dual-channel mode, the system achieves a memory bandwidth of 51.2 GB per second.

PCIe 4.0 is supported with 20 lines, so modern and fast graphics cards can also be connected to the system without loss of speed.
