Description of the processor

The Intel Core i7-10750H is a 6-core mobile processor from Intel with a TDP of 45 watts. It supports Hyper-Threading technology and can process 12 threads simultaneously with its 6 cores. The processors base clock is 2.6 GHz. Up to 3.2 GHz is possible when all cores are utilized. Under single-core load, the Intel Core i7-10750H can increase its clock rate to a very high 5 GHz. Thus, the mobile processor is one of the fastest, provided the PC game or application can only address one CPU core.

Intel still manufactures its Comet-Lake processors in an improved 14 nm process. Competitor AMD already has its processors manufactured in 7 nm and thus achieves a slightly better performance with significantly lower energy consumption in current processors. Nevertheless, Intel processors are still the benchmark in terms of low energy consumption when the computer is idle.

The integrated memory controller of the Intel Core i7-10750H can address up to 128 GB of DDR4-2933 working memory. The dual-channel mode is supported for doubling the memory bandwidth when using at least two memory modules. The processor has a 12 MB level 3 cache. The processor is soldered to the notebooks mainboard in the BGA 1440 socket and is not replaceable.

As an iGPU, the Intel Core i7-10750H has an Intel UHD Graphics 630 with a maximum clock rate of 1.15 GHz on board. The iGPU can reserve a maximum of 2 GB of working memory as graphics memory and is only sufficient for older games in low resolutions and details. Intel iGPUs also benefit from fast working memory, which is ideally operated in dual-channel mode.

The Intel Core i7-10750H supports all common encryption and virtualization standards and can also be used for running multiple virtual machines due to its 12 threads.
