Description of the processor

The Intel Core i5-14600K is a processor from Intel that was released in the fourth quarter of 2023. It is a desktop processor that requires a motherboard with the LGA 1700 socket and belongs to the 14th generation of Intels Core i5 processors. The Intel Core i5-14600K is manufactured in a structure width of 10 nanometers and is based on the Raptor Lake S "Refresh" architecture. The processor relies on a hybrid big.LITTLE core architecture. It consists of 6 performance cores (codename Raptor Cove) and 8 efficiency cores (codename Gracemont). The Raptor Cove cores support hyperthreading, but the Gracemont cores do not, so the processor has 14 physical and 20 logical cores available.

The performance cores clock at up to 5.30 gigahertz in turbo mode, the standard clock speed is 3.50 gigahertz. The efficiency cores still clock at up to 4.00 gigahertz and here the standard clock frequency is 2.60 gigahertz. The Intel Core i5-14600K has an open multiplier, which allows it to be overclocked with appropriate cooling.

The Intel UHD Graphics 770 is used as the internal graphics unit in the Intel Core i5-14600K. This iGPU consists of 32 execution units with 256 shaders. Intel specifies the clock frequency as 300 megahertz and the maximum dynamic clock frequency is 1.55 gigahertz. The Intel UHD Graphics 770 is also manufactured using the 10-nanometer process, but was installed for the first time in the fourth quarter of 2021.

Together with the Intel Core i5-14600K, up to 192 gigabytes of RAM can be operated, which can be controlled via the 2 existing memory channels. You can use both DDR4 and DDR5 RAM here. Officially, modules up to type DDR4-3200 or DDR5-5600 are supported.

The processors level 2 cache is 20.00 megabytes and the level 3 cache is 24.00 megabytes.
