The Intel Core i9-11900KF is an eleventh generation processor from Intels Core i9 family. It was launched in the first quarter of 2021 and is based on the Rocket Lake S architecture. The Intel Core i9-11900KF, which comes from the desktop segment, uses the LGA 1200 motherboard socket and is based on a monolithic chip design. The processor is manufactured with a structure width of 14 nanometers and has a 4.00 megabyte level 2 cache and a 16.00 megabyte level 3 cache.

The Intel Core i9-11900KF relies on a standard core architecture with 8 identical processor cores. The 8 cores have a basic clock frequency of 3.50 gigahertz and the maximum turbo clock frequency is 5.30 gigahertz. However, this maximum clock rate is only achieved when a single processor core is being utilized. If all 8 processor cores are fully utilized in parallel, the maximum clock rate is limited to 4.80 gigahertz.

As you can see from the “KF” at the end of the processor name, the Intel Core i9-11900KF does not have an internal graphics unit. It must therefore be operated with a dedicated graphics card; a total of twenty PCI Express lines in version 4.0 are available to the processor. The bandwidth of the PCIe lines is 39.4 GB/s and this means that the processor can be operated with all common graphics cards.

The Intel Core i9-11900KF has 2 memory channels through which the processor can be operated with up to 128 gigabytes of RAM. Intel officially supports DDR4-3200 memory as a type of memory.
