The Intel Core i5-12450H is a mobile processor from Intels Core i5 family that was released in the first quarter of 2022. The processor uses the BGA 1744 socket, which makes it clear that it is only permanently installed.

The Intel Core i5-12450H is manufactured with a structure width of 10 nanometers and has a 7.00 megabyte level 2 cache and a 12.00 megabyte level 3 cache. The processor is based on the Alder Lake H architecture and a monolithic chip design.

The processor is based on a hybrid processor core architecture, also known as big.LITTLE, and has a total of 8 processor cores. These consist of 4 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores. The 4 performance cores have a basic clock frequency of 2.00 gigahertz and the maximum turbo clock is 4.40 gigahertz. The efficiency cores, on the other hand, have the significantly lower base clock of 1.50 gigahertz and the turbo clock of 3.30 gigahertz, which is also lower. Hyperthreading technology is only supported by the performance cores, which means that the Intel Core i5-12450H has a total of 8 cores and 12 computing threads.

The Intel Core i5-12450H has an eleventh generation Intel UHD Graphics installed as the internal graphics unit. In this case, the graphics unit is equipped with 48 execution units and also has 384 shader units. This graphics unit was first used in a processor in the second quarter of 2020 and, like the processor, it is also manufactured using the 10-nanometer process. The graphics unit is able to use up to 64 gigabytes of the RAM installed in the system as graphics memory.

The Intel Core i5-12450H itself can be operated with up to 64 gigabytes of RAM. Intel officially states support for the following modules: DDR4-3200, DDR5-4800, LPDDR4X-4266 and LPDDR5-5200.
