The Intel Core i3-8350K is based on the Coffee Lake S architecture. It once proved to be an extremely versatile quad-core processor. Manufactured using the proven 14 nm process, it offered a good balance of efficiency and utility. One of its greatest strengths was the unlocked multiplier.

This allowed enthusiasts to overclock the CPU in a targeted manner. Thus, the performance could be adjusted individually. We always found this flexibility remarkable. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 is also a very practical feature. For everyday tasks, it often makes an additional graphics card unnecessary.

It also does a good job of playing media content. This saved costs and greatly simplified system setup. With 8 MB of Level-3 cache, frequently needed data is quickly provided. This contributes significantly to the overall responsiveness of the system. Connection to other hardware is via PCIe 3.0. This interface offers absolutely sufficient bandwidth for many expansion cards.

The Intel Core i3-8350K may not be the newest today. Nevertheless, it is a solid choice for budget-conscious systems. It is also still well suited as a basis for a reliable media PC. Its four cores still reliably handle everyday applications and light games.
