The AMD Ryzen Threadripper 7980X is a specialized processor, designed for particularly demanding tasks. It is based on the modern Zen 4 architecture, which is internally codenamed Storm Peak. It was manufactured using the advanced 5 nm process. This processor delivers very high multi-core performance for complex calculations.

This is impressively demonstrated by the 5531 points in the multi-core test of Cinebench 2024. The single-core performance is also respectable at 115 points.
