The AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 1700, manufactured using the 14 nm process, is based on the groundbreaking Zen architecture. At its introduction, this processor offered a truly remarkable number of cores. With its 8 cores and 16 threads, it enabled versatile multitasking. This was particularly beneficial for demanding applications and parallel processes.

Professional users also appreciated the processor's comprehensive PRO features. These supported advanced security and offered improved manageability in enterprise environments. The AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 1700 featured a generous 16 MB Level 3 Cache. It also offered a maximum memory bandwidth of 43 GB/s. Connectivity to other components was via the then-current PCIe 3.0 standard.
