The Intel Core i7-4870HQ was designed as a very capable mobile processor. It comes from the era of the Haswell H architecture and delivered truly solid computing performance at the time. Manufactured in the 22 nm process, this chip mastered demanding tasks effortlessly. A real highlight was the integrated Intel Iris Pro Graphics 5200.

Thanks to its special eDRAM on the chip, this graphics solution offered noticeably better graphics performance. It clearly outperformed many other integrated graphics solutions. This allowed users to work smoothly with demanding media programs. Light gaming directly on the laptop was also possible. The 6 MB Level 3 cache effectively supported the system's fast data processing.

For its time, the Intel Core i7-4870HQ was an excellent choice. It was often found in truly powerful notebooks. It offered a remarkable balance between strong CPU and GPU performance. Many users appreciated its versatility in professional use as well as in entertainment. We were surprised at the time how well this combination worked.
