The Intel Core i3-8100B is an interesting processor. It is based on the Coffee Lake S architecture and was manufactured in the 14 nm process. For simple systems, this processor provided a solid foundation. Particularly noteworthy is the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630. This graphics solution enables the operation of a computer without an additional graphics card.

It delivers sufficient performance for everyday tasks such as surfing, word processing, and media playback. Four physical cores allowed the Intel Core i3-8100B to be well-equipped for everyday applications. We were surprised at how smoothly many common tasks ran with it. The 6 MB Level 3 Cache also contributes to smooth operation.

It also supports PCIe 3.0, which provides good connectivity for expansion cards. This chip is a reasonable choice for compact PCs. It is well suited for home office computers or media centers. Its manufacture in 14 nm enabled efficient operation. It is still a viable option for basic requirements.
