The Intel Core i7-5775R is a processor that boasted some special features at the time. Manufactured using the then highly advanced 14-nm process, it was based on the Broadwell S architecture. What really set this chip apart was its integrated graphics unit: the Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200.

This offered remarkable performance for integrated solutions, otherwise only known from dedicated graphics cards. For many users, this meant surprisingly good graphics capability directly from the CPU. The PCIe 3.0 connection also ensured solid connectivity for expansion cards. With 6 MB Level 3 Cache, the processor could rely on a usable buffer memory.

The Cinebench 2024 values reached 71 points in single-core. In multi-core, it was 304 points. The Intel Core i7-5775R proved that integrated graphics solutions can be a strong option. It was a reliable companion for everyday tasks and offered excellent multimedia performance. We were positively surprised by its graphics performance at the time.
