Intel Processor N95 vs Intel Celeron N4020

Last updated:
The Intel Celeron N4020, based on the Gemini Lake architecture, was manufactured using the 14 nm process and is primarily designed for very cost-effective entry-level devices.

It is aimed at users who need a system for everyday, basic tasks such as web browsing and word processing. In single-core tests like Geekbench 6, the Intel Celeron N4020 shows significantly lower performance than the Intel Processor N95.

Its performance in multi-core applications is also considerably lower, with values more than 10 percent below those of the N95. The Celeron N4020 has 4 MB of Level 3 Cache and integrates an Intel UHD Graphics 600 with 38 GB/s memory bandwidth. In gaming scenarios, it is only suitable for very simple and older titles.

It is designed for low power consumption and is found in devices where the acquisition price is the primary focus. The Intel Processor N95 uses the more modern Alder Lake N architecture and is manufactured using the more advanced 10 nm process. It offers improved computing power and efficiency for modern entry-level devices.

In single-core tests like Geekbench 6, the Intel Processor N95 shows significantly higher performance, exceeding that of the Intel Celeron N4020 by over 10 percent. Its multi-core performance is also considerably better, as confirmed by Cinebench R23 and Geekbench 6 results, which are each more than 10 percent higher.

It benefits from 4 MB of Level 2 Cache, 6 MB of Level 3 Cache, and an Intel UHD Graphics 16 EUs (Alder Lake) with 38 GB/s memory bandwidth. In gaming scenarios, it can render slightly older or less demanding games more smoothly at low settings. For more responsive and versatile use, it offers better value for money.

Both CPUs are designed for low power consumption.
