Intel Processor N95 vs Intel Core Ultra 5 225

Last updated:
The Intel Processor N95 is an entry-level desktop processor, optimized for energy-efficient systems and basic tasks.

It is based on the Alder Lake N architecture and manufactured using the 10 nm process, with 4 MB L2 and 6 MB L3 cache, as well as PCIe 3.0. Its single-core and multi-core performance is sufficient for everyday applications, but significantly lower than that of the Intel Core Ultra 5 225.

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics with 16 EUs and 38 GB/s memory bandwidth is only suitable for very basic graphics requirements and older games. This processor is designed for maximum energy efficiency, which is reflected in low power consumption and a low Thermal Design Power. In the entry-level segment, it offers a reasonable price-performance ratio.

The Intel Core Ultra 5 225 is a modern mainstream processor, designed for high performance, advanced features, and AI acceleration. It uses the Arrow Lake architecture with a finer 3 nm process, integrating a hybrid core architecture with 26 MB L2 and 24 MB L3 cache, as well as PCIe 5.0.

It shows significantly higher single-core and multi-core performance compared to the Intel Processor N95, which predisposes it for more demanding applications. The integrated Intel Xe 4 Core Graphics with 64 EUs and 102 GB/s memory bandwidth offers significantly better performance in gaming scenarios.

Although it has a higher Thermal Design Power, the modern manufacturing process enables good performance per watt. In the mid-range price segment, it offers a very good price-performance ratio. In summary, the Intel Processor N95 is ideal for energy-efficient systems and basic office or media tasks.

The Intel Core Ultra 5 225 is the better choice for multitasking, productivity, light gaming, and AI-powered applications where higher performance is required.
