The Intel Core i7-1185G7 is currently the fastest Intel Tiger Lake Mobilprocessor. It has 4 cores and clocks it with up to 4.8 GHz, with the clock frequency in the utilization of multiple cores at a maximum of 4.3 GHz. The base clock is still high 3 GHz. Intel can rely on the Intel Core i7-1185G7 to the new 10 nm manufacturing technology, which enables higher clock frequencies with still acceptable energy consumption.

The TDP of the processor is 15 to 28 watts, whereby the processor can even accommodate up to 64 watts at short notice, which further increases its performance in short load scenarios. As a result, the Intel Core i7-1185G7 in benchmarks such as the Cinebench R20 or Cinebench R15 reaches top positions in the Einchen-Pass. For the third quarter of 2020, the Intel Core i7-1185G7 introduces the Cinebench R20 Country Benchmark even before all Intel desktop processors. This is not only due to the high clock frequencies, but also on a significant IPC increase, which Intel could realize in the Tiger Lake processors.

New in the Intel Core i7-1185G7 is also the Intel Xe Graphics IgPU, which has 96 EUS (execution units) with this processor. The IgPU can clock up to 1.35 GHz and reaches just over 2 gflops in the FP32 calculation. This is a good value for an IGPU and about as fast as the AMD IGPUS the new AMD Renoir Apus. In addition, the Intel Core i7-1185G7 or Intel Xe Graphics can now also decode the new and free AV1 VideoCODEC in hardware.

In the memory, Intel has drawn with AMD equal and the Tiger Lake processors support up to 64 GB DDR4-3200 RAM. The CPU can connect the memory via two memory channels. By using the dual-channel mode, the performance of the IGPU also increases, as it uses a part of the memory as a graphics memory.
