The Intel Celeron 1005M proved to be a good choice for entry-level notebooks. It is based on the energy-efficient Ivy Bridge U architecture, which was optimized for mobile devices. It was manufactured using the then highly advanced 22 nm process. This enabled remarkably good energy efficiency, which was particularly crucial for battery life.

We observed this processor reliably handling everyday tasks. Surfing the internet, writing emails, or simple word processing always worked smoothly. The integrated Intel HD Graphics (Ivy Bridge GT1) also offered completely adequate graphics performance. This allowed users to play basic media content smoothly.

Watching occasional videos was also no problem with this chip. The existing 2 MB Level 3 Cache played an important role. It helped to noticeably improve system responsiveness. This contributed to an overall smoother user experience. For users with basic computer requirements, the Intel Celeron 1005M was a very reasonable option.
