V-Ray CPU-Render Benchmark

V-Ray is a 3D rendering software from the manufacturer Chaos for designers and artists. Unlike many other render engines, V-Ray is capable of so-called hybrid rendering, in which the CPU and GPU work together at the same time.

However, the CPU benchmark we used (CPU Render Mode) only uses the system's processor. The working memory used plays a major role in the V-Ray benchmark. For our benchmarks we use the fastest RAM standard approved by the manufacturer (without overclocking).

Due to the high compatibility of V-Ray (including Autodesk 3ds Max, Maya, Cinema 4D, SketchUp, Unreal Engine and Blender), it is a frequently used software. With V-Ray, for example, photorealistic images can be rendered that laypeople cannot distinguish from normal photos.

Monero Hashrate kH/s

The crypto currency Monero has been using the RandomX algorithm since November 2019. This PoW (proof of work) algorithm can only efficiently be calculated using a processor (CPU) or a graphics card (GPU). The CryptoNight algorithm was used for Monero until November 2019, but it could be calculated using ASICs. RandomX benefits from a high number of CPU cores, cache and a fast connection of the memory via as many memory channels as possible. Tested with XMRig v6.x under the operation system HiveOS.

To trade Monero you can register with the crypto broker Kraken.com. We've been customers there for a few years now and have been very satisfied so far.

News and articles for the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X and the Intel Core i9-10900K

The AMD Ryzen 9 5900X and Intel Core i9-10900K compared here were both released in 2020. The Intel Core i9-10900K already in the second quarter and the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X not until the end of the year, despite everything the comparison makes sense, since both processors will be among the most powerful CPUs of the respective manufacturer in 2020.

The AMD Ryzen 9 5900X comes with 12 cores and 24 threads, whereas the Intel Core i9-10900K is equipped with 10 cores and 20 threads. The Intel Core i9-10900K is a bit ahead of the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X in terms of turbo clock frequencies, but that is not enough for single-core workload and certainly not for multi-core workload to achieve better performance.

The Intel Core i9-10900K has a big advantage over the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, the Intel Core i9-10900K has an internal graphics unit with the Intel UHD Graphics 630, whereas the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X is operated exclusively with a dedicated graphics unit can.

When it comes to RAM, the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X has slight advantages over the Intel Core i9-10900K, although both processors have 2 memory channels and can be equipped with up to 128 gigabytes, but the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X officially supports DDR4 modules with one clock frequency of up to 3200 megahertz, Intel specifies a slightly lower 2933 megahertz for the Intel Core i9-10900K.

The AMD Ryzen 9 5900X is already manufactured using the 7 nanometer process, whereas the Intel Core i9-10900K is still manufactured using the 14 nanometer process. As you can guess from the TDP, this naturally has a significant effect on power consumption. The Intel Core i9-10900K has a TDP of 125 watts, whereas the TDP of the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X is only 105 watts and that with 2 cores more and better performance.
