AMD E1-6010 vs Intel Processor N100

Last updated:
The AMD E1-6010, based on the Beema (Puma) architecture and manufactured using the 28 nm process, is designed for very basic computing tasks in simple mini-PCs.

It features AMD Radeon R2 (Beema) graphics, 1 MB Level 3 cache, and a maximum memory bandwidth of 11 GB/s. In Cinebench R23, it achieves a single-core performance of 261. The Intel Processor N100, with the more modern Alder Lake N architecture and manufactured using the more efficient 10 nm process, is intended for energy-efficient entry-level systems such as mini-PCs that deliver noticeably higher computing power.

Its integrated Intel UHD Graphics 24 EUs (Alder Lake), 4 MB Level 2 cache, 6 MB Level 3 cache, 38 GB/s maximum memory bandwidth, and PCIe 3.0 support are noteworthy. Benchmark results show significantly superior performance for the Intel Processor N100. The Intel Processor N100 significantly outperforms the AMD E1-6010 in single-core and multi-core performance, which is reflected in significantly higher benchmark results.

The graphics performance of the Intel UHD Graphics is also clearly superior to the AMD Radeon R2, supported by the higher memory bandwidth (38 GB/s vs. 11 GB/s). Both are not suitable for demanding gaming, but the Intel offers more capacity for multimedia. Due to the more efficient 10 nm manufacturing process, the Intel Processor N100 is also more energy-efficient.

The Intel Processor N100 offers a better price-performance ratio. The AMD E1-6010 is only the choice for extremely low performance requirements and minimal costs. For most basic computing tasks, the Intel Processor N100 is recommended.
