The Intel Core i7-7820HK established itself as a powerful mobile processor in its time. It was based on Intel's proven Kaby Lake H architecture. This chip was manufactured using the then-advanced 14 nm process. One of its outstanding features was the unlocked multiplier. This gave enthusiasts the ability to increase the clock frequency beyond the factory settings.

Such overclocking offered an increase in computing power for demanding applications. With a generous 8 MB L3 cache, the processor was able to cache data very efficiently. This ensured fast access times and smooth operation. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 630 also provided versatile use. It offered sufficient graphics performance for everyday tasks and high-resolution media playback.
