The Intel Core i5-3230M is a mobile processor that proved to be a consistently solid choice a few years ago. It is based on Intel's Ivy Bridge H architecture. This chip was manufactured using what was then a state-of-the-art 22-nanometer process. This contributed significantly to remarkably good energy efficiency.

For laptops of the time, this meant a welcome, decent battery life. Another positive feature is the integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000. At the time, this graphics solution enabled smooth playback of multimedia content. It was also quite usable for less demanding games. The processor offered reliable overall performance for everyday tasks.

Office applications and web browsing ran very smoothly with this chip. Even lighter image editing could be handled well with this processor. With its 3 MB Level 3 cache, frequently used data was quickly provided. We noticed how many notebooks with the Intel Core i5-3230M offered a balanced overall configuration.

It was a versatile and reliable companion for mobile use. Its focus was clearly on a good balance of performance and efficiency.
