Intel Processor N150 vs Intel Celeron J3355

Last updated:
The Intel Celeron J3355 (Apollo Lake, 14 nm) is designed for basic entry-level desktop tasks. It offers 30 GB/s memory bandwidth, 2 MB Level 3 Cache, and PCIe 2.0.

Its integrated graphics unit is the Intel HD Graphics 500. The Intel Processor N150 (Twin Lake, 7 nm) is a newer development for the same market, but with higher efficiency and performance.

It achieves 38 GB/s memory bandwidth, features 4 MB Level 2 and 6 MB Level 3 Cache, and PCIe 3.0, complemented by the Intel UHD Graphics 24 EUs (Alder Lake). Exact core and thread counts are not available for either. In a comparison of single and multi-core performance, particularly in Geekbench 6, the Intel Processor N150 shows significantly higher performance than the Intel Celeron J3355, with the difference being well over 10 percent.

In Cinebench R23 and Cinebench 2024, the N150 also demonstrates superior multi-core performance. Neither processor is primarily intended for gaming. However, thanks to its modern integrated graphics unit and PCIe 3.0, the Intel Processor N150 offers significantly better performance in very light games compared to the J3355's Intel HD Graphics 500.

Information on TDP and current market prices is not available. Due to the more modern 7 nm manufacturing process and higher performance, the Intel Processor N150 is more energy-efficient and offers a better price-performance ratio. For most modern entry-level applications, the Intel Processor N150 is the superior choice.

The Intel Celeron J3355 is primarily suitable for very simple, budget-oriented applications.
