Intel Core i7-3770 vs Intel Processor N95

Last updated:
The Intel Core i7-3770 (Ivy Bridge S, 22 nm), introduced in 2012, is a desktop processor with 4 cores and 8 threads.

It integrates Intel HD Graphics 4000, supports PCIe 3.0, and achieves 26 GB/s memory bandwidth. The Intel Processor N95 (Alder Lake N, 10 nm) is a newer, energy-efficient processor for mini PCs, equipped with 4 cores, 4 threads, Intel UHD Graphics 16 EUs (Alder Lake), and 38 GB/s memory bandwidth.

Performance-wise, the Intel Processor N95 significantly outperforms the Intel Core i7-3770 in single-core performance, which improves responsiveness. The i7-3770 sometimes shows higher performance in multi-core tasks due to its 8 threads, while the N95 leads in other multi-core tests.

Gaming is very limited on both without a dedicated graphics card; the N95 offers advantages in very light games with its more modern integrated graphics unit. Thanks to its 10 nm manufacturing process, the Intel Processor N95 is significantly more energy-efficient and has a lower Thermal Design Power than the 22 nm Intel Core i7-3770.

In terms of price, the i7-3770 is a used market product; the N95 is installed in new, cost-effective mini-PC systems. For basic multitasking on a tight budget, a used Intel Core i7-3770 is usable. For modern, energy-efficient systems with better single-core performance and integrated graphics for everyday tasks, the Intel Processor N95 is the better choice.
