Intel Celeron N5100 vs Intel Processor N95

Last updated:
The Intel Celeron N5100, based on the Jasper Lake architecture, was developed for use in energy-efficient and cost-effective devices such as mini-PCs, tablets, and Chromebooks.

It is aimed at users with basic computing requirements. This processor is manufactured using a 10 nm process and features four cores and four threads. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics with 24 EUs (Jasper Lake) and a maximum memory bandwidth of 47 GB/s support basic multimedia applications. The Intel Processor N95 uses the newer Alder Lake N architecture and is also designed for the entry-level segment.

It offers improved performance for a smoother user experience in everyday tasks in similar systems. It is also manufactured using a 10 nm process and has four cores and four threads. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics with 16 EUs (Alder Lake) and a maximum memory bandwidth of 38 GB/s are designed for basic graphical requirements.

In a performance comparison, the Intel Processor N95 shows significantly higher computing power than the Intel Celeron N5100. In both single-core and multi-core tests, the Intel Processor N95 considerably outperforms its counterpart. This leads to noticeably better application responsiveness and improved multitasking capabilities.

Both processors are not suitable for demanding games; their integrated graphics units are sufficient only for very simple or older titles and multimedia playback. Both processors are optimized for energy-efficient operation and exhibit low thermal design power. The Intel Processor N95 offers improved performance per watt in this regard.

In terms of price-performance ratio, the Intel Processor N95 is the superior choice, as it delivers significantly higher performance for an often only slightly higher price, making it more attractive for most budget systems.
