Description of the processor

The Intel Celeron N5100 comes from the tenth generation of Intels Celeron series and is based on the Jasper Lake architecture. It is manufactured with a structure width of 10 nanometers and has a 1.5 megabyte level 2 or 4.00 megabyte level 3 cache. The Intel Celeron N5100, which was released in the first quarter of 2021, is only permanently installed on the BGA 1338 socket and is at home in the mobile segment. This means that it is mainly used in notebooks, but also in mini PCs such as the Zotac ZBOX CI331 nano.

The Intel Celeron N5100 is a quad-core processor without hyperthreading. The 4 Tremont processor cores clock at 1.10 gigahertz, but can increase their clock rate to up to 2.80 gigahertz in turbo mode. Like all mobile processors from Intel, the processor cannot be overclocked.

As an internal graphics unit, the Intel Celeron N5100 is equipped with the Intel UHD Graphics Jasper Lake with 24 execution units, which is also manufactured using the 10-nanometer process. With it, up to 3 screens can be supplied with an image in parallel. The resolution and refresh rate depend on the port used and the number of monitors connected. The iGPU clocks at 0.35 gigahertz and has a maximum dynamic clock frequency of 0.85 gigahertz. The graphics unit, equipped with 192 shader units, achieves an FP32 computing power (single precision) of 653 GigaFLOPS.

The processor has 2 memory channels and supports the operation of up to 16 gigabytes of RAM. The supported DDR4-2933 modules achieve a maximum bandwidth of 45.8 GB/s. The Intel Celeron N5100 does not support memory with automatic error correction.

The processor has 8 PCIe lanes in version 3.0 for connecting all types of expansion cards.
