Intel Celeron N4100 vs Intel Processor N95

Last updated:
The Intel Celeron N4100, introduced in late 2017 with the Gemini Lake architecture, and the Intel Processor N95, released in early 2023 based on Alder Lake N, are designed for energy-efficient, cost-effective systems such as mini-PCs or laptops.

The Intel Celeron N4100, manufactured using a 14nm process, has four cores, four threads, 4 MB Level 3 Cache, and Intel UHD Graphics 600. The Intel Processor N95 uses a 10nm process, also featuring four cores and four threads, but with 4 MB Level 2 and 6 MB Level 3 Cache, as well as the more powerful Intel UHD Graphics 16 EUs (Alder Lake).

Both have a maximum memory bandwidth of 38 GB/s. In terms of performance, the Intel Processor N95 significantly outperforms the Intel Celeron N4100. Both single-core and multi-core performance are considerably higher on the N95, enabling a more responsive user experience for everyday tasks.

For gaming, neither processor is designed for demanding titles. However, the more modern integrated graphics unit of the Intel Processor N95 offers better rendering in very light or older games compared to the graphics unit of the Intel Celeron N4100. Both CPUs are characterized by high energy efficiency, are designed for low power consumption, and are well-suited for fanless or passively cooled designs, which promotes quiet operation.

Regarding the price-performance ratio, the Intel Celeron N4100 offers basic functionality for the entry-level segment. With its superior performance and attractive price, the Intel Processor N95 represents a better investment for more modern usage.
