Intel Celeron J1900 vs Intel Processor N200

Last updated:
The Intel Celeron J1900, introduced in the fourth quarter of 2013, is based on the Bay Trail architecture and was manufactured using a 22 nm process.

It features four cores and four threads and is aimed at energy-efficient systems for basic tasks. The integrated graphics unit is an Intel HD Graphics (Bay Trail GT1), which is sufficient for simple display output. Its computing power is designed for very light office applications and basic web browsing.

Multi-core performance is low. This processor is hardly suitable for gaming. It is characterized by very low power consumption. The price-performance ratio is adequate for minimal requirements. The Intel Processor N200, introduced in the first quarter of 2023, utilizes the more modern Alder Lake N architecture and is manufactured using a more advanced 10 nm process.

It also has four cores and four threads but offers significantly higher computing performance in single- and multi-core applications, making it much better suited for everyday office work, web browsing, and media playback. The Intel UHD Graphics 32 EUs (Alder Lake) delivers noticeably improved graphics performance for very light games.

Its energy efficiency is high. Although typically more expensive to purchase, the Intel Processor N200 offers a significantly better price-performance ratio and modern features for most application areas.
