Intel Celeron J1900 vs Intel Celeron N3350

Last updated:
The Intel Celeron J1900 is based on the Bay Trail architecture and was developed for use in low-cost desktop systems and energy-efficient mini PCs.

Manufactured using the 22-nanometer process, this processor features four cores, four threads, and a 2 MB L3 cache. In benchmarks, the Intel Celeron J1900 shows solid multi-core performance, while single-core performance varies depending on the application. The integrated Intel HD Graphics (Bay Trail GT1) is designed for simple graphical tasks.

Since the processor has no 3D cache, the memory bandwidth is 21 GB/s, and a PCIe 2.0 interface is used, it is hardly suitable for gaming. With a Thermal Design Power of 10 watts, power consumption is low, which often allows for passive operation. The Intel Celeron J1900 provides a functional basis for office tasks or home servers, with a stable price-performance ratio.

The Intel Celeron N3350 uses the Braswell architecture and primarily targets mobile devices and very compact desktop solutions.

It is manufactured using the more efficient 14-nanometer process but has only two cores, two threads, and a 2 MB L3 cache. Despite the lower core count, the Intel Celeron N3350 achieves higher single-core performance in specific scenarios due to architectural improvements, but falls behind the Intel Celeron J1900 in multi-core performance.

Equipped with Intel HD Graphics 500, a memory bandwidth of 30 GB/s, and PCIe 2.0, it offers an advanced graphics unit but remains limited to undemanding applications. The TDP is only 6 watts, highlighting its high energy efficiency. The Intel Celeron N3350 is recommended for extremely economical systems where efficiency and low heat generation are more important than pure computing power.
