Intel Celeron 7305 vs Intel Processor N200

Last updated:
The Intel Celeron 7305 was designed for simple office applications and everyday tasks.

It is based on the Alder Lake U architecture and is manufactured using the 10 nm process. With a total of five processor cores, divided into one performance core and four efficiency cores, as well as an 8 MB L3 cache, it offers a solid foundation for basic applications. However, benchmarks show that performance in both single-core and multi-core scenarios lags significantly behind the comparison model.

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 12th Gen with 48 units offers a higher number of execution units but is limited by the lower processing power. In terms of power consumption, the thermal design power is 15 watts, which often necessitates active cooling. The high memory bandwidth of 83 GB/s is a technical advantage that supports system responsiveness in everyday use.

The Intel Processor N200 targets energy-efficient systems and uses the Alder Lake N architecture. Manufactured in the 10 nm process, it has four pure efficiency cores and 4 MB of L2 cache.

Despite the lower core count, it significantly outperforms the Intel Celeron 7305 in synthetic comparisons in single-core and multi-core performance. This results from the optimized architecture. In gaming scenarios, it often delivers more stable results despite the Intel UHD Graphics with only 32 units, as the CPU performance is less restrictive.

With a thermal design power of only 6 watts, the Intel Processor N200 often enables silent, passively cooled designs. The price-performance ratio is superior due to the higher efficiency and computing power. For modern applications that require smooth operation, this processor represents the better choice.
