In gaming scenarios, the Apple M3 offers superior performance for desktop applications thanks to its more powerful GPU and higher memory bandwidth. The Apple A17 Pro is very powerful for mobile games, but operates within the thermal and power consumption limits of smartphones. Power consumption differs greatly: The Apple M3 is designed for consistently high performance in systems with active cooling, while the Apple A17 Pro is optimized for maximum energy efficiency in mobile devices.

A direct price-performance ratio is difficult to determine due to their integration into end devices (premium computers vs. high-end smartphones). The Apple M3 is ideal for demanding desktop applications and gaming. The Apple A17 Pro is the best choice for maximum mobile performance and energy efficiency.
