The Apple M4 (10-CPU) is a 3 nm System-on-a-Chip from Apple, designed for high efficiency and integrated performance in Apple products.

The AMD Ryzen 7 7700 uses 5 nm manufacturing, Zen 4 architecture, 8 MB L2 and 32 MB L3 cache, as well as AMD Radeon Graphics (Raphael). It offers PCIe 5.0 and 83 GB/s memory bandwidth. The Apple M4 (10-CPU) is manufactured in 3 nm, with 10 cores, 20 MB L2 cache, and Apple M4 (10 Core) as integrated graphics.

It supports PCIe 4.0 and achieves 120 GB/s memory bandwidth. The Apple M4 (10-CPU) shows higher performance (>10%) in single-core benchmarks. For multi-core tasks, the AMD Ryzen 7 7700 is stronger (>10%) in Cinebench R23, while other multi-core tests deliver comparable results (<10%).

For gaming, the AMD Ryzen 7 7700 is more advantageous, thanks to its architecture, PCIe 5.0, and broad compatibility with dedicated graphics cards on Windows platforms. The Apple M4 (10-CPU) offers strong integrated graphics, but rarely the raw power and support of dedicated gaming hardware. The Apple M4 (10-CPU) is designed for high energy efficiency thanks to 3 nm manufacturing.

The AMD Ryzen 7 7700 aims for high performance. A direct price/performance evaluation is difficult, as the AMD is a single chip and the M4 is part of an Apple system.
