AMD Radeon 780M

The AMD Radeon 780M is a fast integrated graphics solution from AMD and is based on the AMD RDNA 3 graphics architecture. AMD's Phoenix APUs combine Zen 4 CPU cores with RDNA 3 graphics and are used in notebooks or small handheld game consoles. The AMD Radeon 780M is currently the largest variant of the AMD Phoenix iGPUs and has 12 computing units (CUs).

The 12 processing units of the integrated graphics card have 768 shaders and a theoretical processing power of 4.3 TFLOPS at a clock speed of 2.8 GHz. The iGPU does not have its own graphics memory, but uses the system's main memory for this purpose. A maximum of 4 GB of RAM can be reserved for the AMD Radeon 780M. Overall, the iGPU can use up to 32 GB of memory.

A novelty of the AMD Phoenix APUs is the use of fast LPDDR5X-7500 memory, which is only very rarely found in notebooks due to the still quite high costs. The memory bandwidth when using LPDDR5X-6400 is 50 to 90 GB/s, with DDR5-5600 RAM it is about 80-85 GB/s. In each case when using two memory channels (dual channel) of the CPU.
