The Intel Core m5-6Y57 processor was once an interesting option for mobile devices. It was manufactured in 14 nm and belonged to the energy-efficient Skylake Y architecture. This enabled manufacturers to develop particularly thin and light notebooks or tablets. A significant advantage was the low heat generation.

This allowed many devices to be cooled passively, i.e. without a fan. This led to silent operation. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 515 offered solid graphics performance for everyday tasks. Streaming videos, surfing the web and word processing were easy to handle. The 4 MB Level 3 cache also contributed to the smooth operation.

We particularly appreciated the combination of compact design and sufficient computing power. This processor showed what was possible in terms of mobility and efficiency. It was a good choice for users who valued portability and quiet operation.
