The Intel Core i7-3687U processor, a product from the era of slim ultrabooks, was specifically designed for mobile devices. It integrates the then-advanced Ivy Bridge U architecture, which was particularly focused on energy efficiency. Manufacturing using the then-state-of-the-art 22nm process contributed significantly to very good energy efficiency.
