The Intel Core i5-8257U is a processor based on the proven Coffee Lake U architecture. It was manufactured using a reliable 14 nm process. This chip provides a solid foundation for a variety of everyday tasks. We've found that it still delivers remarkably stable performance today. Of particular note is its integrated graphics unit, the Intel Iris Plus Graphics 645.

It offers quite decent graphical performance. This is easily sufficient for smooth media playback. This graphics chip also cuts a fine figure in light image editing. With its 6 MB Level 3 cache, the processor is suitably equipped. A memory bandwidth of 38 GB/s also contributes to smooth operation.

Its good energy efficiency is another plus. This makes it an excellent choice for mobile devices with longer battery life. For ordinary office applications or surfing the Internet, the Intel Core i5-8257U is still a very reasonable option. It proves to be a reliable partner for everyday use.
