Description of the processor

The AMD E1-1200 is a 2-core, 2-thread mobile processor from AMD. It is based on the AMD E series and uses a BGA 413 socket. It was published in the third quarter of 2012.

The processor is manufactured in the normal core architecture and has 2 individual cores. Hyperthreading is not supported and it is not overclockable. The clock frequency is 1.40 GHz. The AMD E1-1200 processor also has an integrated graphics chip (iGPU). It is based on an AMD Radeon HD 7310. The clock frequency of the iGPU is 0.53 GHz. The single graphics unit has 80 shaders and has access to a maximum of 1 GB of memory. The iGPU supports DirectX11. The graphics chip was released in Q2 2012.
The processors memory type is DDR3-1066, it has one memory channel and supports AES-NI. The manufacturer specifies the TDP (Thermal Design Power) as 18W. The processor belongs to the Zacate series, its core is run under Bobcat and supports AMDs virtualization technology AMD-V. The full x86-64 instruction set (ISA) is supported, so the processor is fully 64-bit capable. The extensions SSE4a, SSE4.1, SSE4.2 and AVX are available.

The processor can natively decode h264, AVC and VC-1 as well as encode and decode JPEG.
The AMD E1-1200 achieves a rating of 124 points in Geekbench 5, 64bit (single core). It is therefore better than an AMD E-450, is on par with a MediaTek MT6750T but performs slightly worse than a MediaTek MT6738. The situation is similar in Geekbench 5, 64bit (multi-core), with 227 points. It just beats its competitor Intel Celeron 430 and is on par with the MediaTek MT6582M.

The processor achieves an impressive 98 points in the CPU-Z benchmark 17 (multi-core), putting it ahead of the AMD C-60 but behind the AMD E1-1500. The iGPU computing power (single precision in GFLOPS) is 85 points.
