The AMD C-60, a product of the Ontario architecture, was an interesting option at the time. This processor, manufactured using the 40-nanometer process, aimed at energy-efficient solutions. Its low power consumption was a major advantage, especially for mobile devices. It not only noticeably extended battery life but often allowed for compact, fanless system designs.

A special feature was the integrated AMD Radeon HD 6290 graphics unit. It offered quite usable graphics performance for this device category. Simple multimedia applications and surfing the web worked smoothly with it. Some older or less demanding games were also quite playable. Its 1 MB Level 3 cache provided the AMD C-60 with a solid foundation.

The memory bandwidth of 9 GB/s was sufficient for basic computing needs. We remember it as a solid foundation for affordable netbooks and entry-level laptops. It convincingly fulfilled its task as an economical APU. The AMD C-60 proved back then that even inexpensive systems can deliver usable performance.
