The Intel Processor N100 (Alder Lake N) targets energy-efficient compact systems. The AMD GX-424CC (Temash, Jaguar+) is intended for embedded and industrial applications.

Manufactured using a 10 nm process, the Intel Processor N100 has 4 cores/4 threads, 4 MB L2 and 6 MB L3 cache. The AMD GX-424CC uses a 28 nm process with 4 cores/4 threads, but only 2 MB L2 cache without L3 cache. The Intel also offers PCIe 3.0, while the AMD offers PCIe 2.0.

Thanks to its modern architecture, the Intel Processor N100 offers significantly superior single-core and multi-core performance. The AMD GX-424CC, in comparison, achieves only a fraction of this performance, making it unsuitable for demanding tasks. Neither are intended for gaming. The Intel UHD Graphics (24 EUs) of the Intel Processor N100, with 38 GB/s memory bandwidth, enables very simple games.

The AMD Radeon R5E of the AMD GX-424CC (15 GB/s) offers hardly any graphics performance. The Intel Processor N100 is characterized by very low power consumption and offers good value for money in new compact systems. The AMD GX-424CC is also energy-saving but less efficient (28 nm) and is found in specialized, embedded markets.

The Intel Processor N100 is recommended for modern, energy-efficient systems with good everyday performance. The AMD GX-424CC is suitable for specific, less performance-intensive embedded applications.
