The Intel Core i5-4670K, based on the Haswell S architecture and manufactured using the 22 nm process, is a processor with four cores and four threads.

It was aimed at gamers and users who valued overclocking capabilities and is equipped with Intel HD Graphics 4600 and 6 MB of Level 3 Cache. The Intel Core i7-3770, from the Ivy Bridge S architecture and also manufactured using the 22 nm process, offers four physical cores and, thanks to Hyper-Threading, eight threads.

This made it attractive for multitasking and applications with high parallelization. It features an 8 MB Level 3 Cache and Intel HD Graphics 4000. Both support PCIe 3.0 with a maximum memory bandwidth of 26 GB/s. In single-core and multi-core performance, the Intel Core i5-4670K shows significantly higher performance compared to the Intel Core i7-3770, which is primarily attributable to the newer Haswell architecture with its improved per-clock performance.

For gaming scenarios, the Intel Core i5-4670K is the preferred choice due to its superior single-core performance and overclockability. The Intel Core i7-3770 benefits less from its additional threads in most games. The Thermal Design Power (TDP) of the Intel Core i5-4670K is 84 watts, while the Intel Core i7-3770 has a lower TDP of 77 watts.

Both processors are available at low prices on the used market. For gaming and applications that benefit from high single-core performance, the Intel Core i5-4670K is the better choice. For multitasking and workloads that benefit from more threads, the Intel Core i7-3770 is recommended.
