Intel Core i5-4590T vs Intel Processor N95

The Intel Core i5-4590T, based on the Haswell S architecture, was manufactured using the 22 nm process and was aimed at energy-efficient desktop systems.

It features 4 cores and 4 threads, Intel HD Graphics 4600, supports PCIe 3.0, and offers 26 GB/s maximum memory bandwidth as well as 6 MB Level 3 Cache. It is suitable for basic requirements. The Intel Processor N95, with the newer Alder Lake N architecture, is manufactured using the more advanced 10 nm process and is designed for energy-efficient, compact systems such as mini-PCs.

It offers 4 cores and 4 threads, the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 16 EUs (Alder Lake), and supports PCIe 3.0. It achieves 38 GB/s maximum memory bandwidth and features 4 MB Level 2 Cache and 6 MB Level 3 Cache. In a performance comparison, the Intel Processor N95 significantly outperforms the Intel Core i5-4590T in single-core performance and also shows improved multi-core performance.

Both are only conditionally suitable for gaming; however, the N95's Intel UHD Graphics offers advantages in simple multimedia applications due to its newer architecture and higher memory bandwidth. The Intel Core i5-4590T, as a T-model, is energy-efficient, but the Intel Processor N95 offers even lower energy consumption thanks to the 10 nm process, ideal for fanless systems.

While the i5-4590T is an older second-hand product, the N95 offers a better price-performance ratio in new, affordable systems and is preferable for economical builds.
