Intel Core i3-9100T vs Intel Processor N95

The Intel Core i3-9100T is a 9th generation processor (Coffee Lake S Refresh), introduced for energy-efficient desktop systems such as Small Form Factor PCs.

It is manufactured using the 14 nm process and has 4 cores and 4 threads, with 6 MB of Level 3 cache and no Level 2 cache. Its integrated graphics unit is the Intel UHD Graphics 630. The Intel Core i3-9100T shows significantly higher single-core and multi-core performance in benchmarks like Cinebench R23 and Geekbench 6 compared to the Intel Processor N95.

This predisposes it for general productivity tasks and light multitasking. Although it is a T-variant, it requires more power than the N95. It is only very limitedly usable for gaming. The Intel Processor N95 is based on the newer Alder Lake N architecture and is aimed at the entry-level segment, mini-PCs, and thin clients, with a focus on efficiency.

It is manufactured using the 10 nm process and features 4 efficiency cores (E-cores) and 4 threads, with 4 MB of Level 2 cache and 6 MB of Level 3 cache. The integrated graphics unit is the Intel UHD Graphics 16 EUs (Alder Lake). Despite its newer architecture, the Intel Processor N95 offers lower computing performance in benchmarks than the Intel Core i3-9100T, but is clearly superior in terms of energy efficiency.

It is excellent for compact, fanless systems, basic office work, web browsing, and media playback. It is also only very limitedly suitable for gaming.
