Intel Celeron N3150 vs Intel Processor N95

Last updated:
The Intel Celeron N3150, introduced in the first quarter of 2015 (Braswell architecture), targeted energy-efficient, low-cost devices.

The Intel Processor N95, released in the first quarter of 2023 (Alder Lake N architecture), is designed for modern entry-level systems with improved performance.

The Intel Celeron N3150 (14 nm) has four cores and four threads, 0 MB of Level 2, and 2 MB of Level 3 cache. The Intel Processor N95 (10 nm) also has four cores and four threads, but 4 MB of Level 2 and 6 MB of Level 3 cache. The Intel Processor N95 significantly outperforms the Intel Celeron N3150 in single-core and multi-core performance (>10%), due to its newer architecture.

Both are unsuitable for demanding gaming. The Intel Processor N95 (Intel UHD Graphics 16 EUs) offers better performance for very light games than the N3150 (Intel HD Graphics 400). The Intel Celeron N3150 has a TDP of 6 Watts and 26 GB/s maximum memory bandwidth for maximum energy efficiency.

The Intel Processor N95 has a TDP of 15 Watts and 38 GB/s maximum memory bandwidth for more performance with good efficiency. The Intel Celeron N3150 is an older, very affordable model with basic performance. The Intel Processor N95 offers significantly better value for money in new devices due to higher, more modern performance.

The Intel Celeron N3150 is for absolute minimal requirements and highest energy efficiency. The Intel Processor N95 delivers more performance for everyday tasks and media, recommended for modern entry-level PCs.

Intel Celeron N3150

  • Extremely low power consumption (TDP 6W)
  • Suitable for basic tasks and passive cooling
  • Older architecture (Braswell, 14 nm)
  • Low acquisition costs (primarily in used devices)

Intel Processor N95

  • Significantly higher computing and graphics performance
  • More modern architecture (Alder Lake N, 10 nm)
  • Good value for money for current entry-level PCs
  • Efficient for everyday tasks and media consumption
